Enter for a chance to be selected for an all-expenses paid experience on the PEACE BOAT US!

SXM Festival will be selecting two ambassadors from Saint Martin to travel on 100th Voyage through Patagonia.

Do you have a strong interest in sustainability and community development in Saint Martin? 
Set sail this February with a select group of 18 to 30 year-olds.  Learn about the UN SDGs in an experiential study program “Peace Education and the SDGs in South America. As the Saint Martin Ambassador, you will share your experience in sustainability, community development, environmental awareness and the resilience of this beautiful island.

Apply for this all expenses paid trip value over $4000USD! 

Set sail February 18-28, 2019!

 

HOW TO APPLY

All you need to do is send us your best photo demonstrating the resilience of Saint Martin and fill out a short application form. 

The photo must be of the island and its activities, no selfies please!

Deadline to apply is December 1, 2019.

CONTEST RULES
Qualities we are looking for in scholarship applicants:

  • Must be  18-30 years old

  • Must be a resident of Saint Martin

  • Possess Leadership skills

  • Strong speaking and presentation ability (in English)

  • Experience volunteering or working on SDG-related initiatives, with particular emphasis on SDG13 (Climate Action) and SDG14 (Life Below Water), as part of Peace Boat’s commitment to the Ocean Pathway Partnership, a COP23 initiative recognizing the critical relationship between climate and the ocean.

  • Commitment and plans for continuing SDG-related work in the future

  • Currently or previously involved in SDG-related initiatives

  • Ability to obtain visas for relevant countries if necessary

  • Possess a passport valid through August 30, 2019

 

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

  • Includes: all meals, onboard programs, onboard accommodation (shared occupancy) port programs, transportation during port programs, tips, and port charges

  • Does not include: travel insurance, visa expenses if necessary, and misc personal expenses

  • Participants are responsible for obtaining visas if necessary per nationality

 

Upon initial registration, Peace Boat will send you details about completing the voyage registration. Short-listed scholarship applicants will be contacted individually to schedule an interview process.
