In response to the recent wildfires in Hawaii, the Peace Boat Disaster Relief Center (PBV) has launched a fundraising campaign in cooperation with local organizations to provide support to communities in Maui. Donations will be used to provide emergency supplies (food, drinking water, distribution of daily necessities, medical services, etc.) and other emergency relief activities that meet the needs of the affected areas.

Parties4Peace has teamed up with Francesca Lombardo's Life Of Releaf and DJ Mag to bring you a 16-hour live stream to commemorate International Day of Forests.
Life Of Releaf, a project by Francesca Lombardo that is focused on combating climate change and deforestation, have put together a line up for a mammoth 16-hour live stream this Sunday.
Alongside DJ sets from Agents Of Time, Francesca Lombardo, Soul Clap, Ms Mada and more, there will be presentations from environmental enthusiasts including Anthony Middleton from Audiofly, Greta Spota of WWF Mexico, Emilie McGlone from Parties4Peace and Miguel Solari from My Plastic Free Store.
The stream will be raising money to plant trees, with 100% of the profits will go to the charity partner One Tree Planted.
Speaking about the project, Francesca Lombardo said: “It’s time for us to learn how to take care of Mother Nature. Trees are one of our strongest weapons in the fight against climate change, which is why I encourage everyone to support reforestation. $1 plants one tree, and together we can plant forests.”

Con el fin de impulsar campañas por un desarrollo sustentable en el planeta y la humanidad. Con un llamado a unir todos los esfuerzos para lograr un futuro con energía sustentable, este año “Parties4Peace” organizará el Tur PATAGONICA Volumen 12, el que contará con eventos artísticos en Santiago, Concepción, Valparaíso, Los Andes, Punta Arenas y Puerto Natales. “Parties4Peace” (P4P) es una iniciativa que une arte y música y mediante la cual recauda fondos para apoyar varias iniciativas globales enfocadas en la educación, la sostenibilidad, la igualdad y la asistencia después de desastres naturales. P4P busca unir a la gente para crear una cultura de paz a través del baile y la música, con un énfasis en la colaboración entre quienes buscan una plataforma para hacer un cambio para un mundo mejor. Para la gira de este verano, Parties4Peace dará la bienvenida a invitados Death on the Balcony del sello All Day I Dream, quienes llegarán a Chile el dia 22 de Febrero con una gira por Chile en diez dias apoyando a la Campana de la organización sin fines de lucro, el Barco de la Paz (Peace Boat), crucero educativo que combina turismo con actividades a bordo que buscan concientizar a los pasajeros en el cuidado del medio ambiente, aumentando la conciencia sobre diferentes temas globales que presentan cada uno de los lugares visitados.
En su paso por Chile, este año “Parties4Peace” buscará concientizar sobre las amenazas en la región de la Patagonia. Para ello, el Tour Patagónica trabajará con MAPA (La Academia de Música y Arte por la Paz), y CODEFF mediante un proyecto que combina música, arte y activismo para proteger la región austral chilena, la cual está amenazada por la explotación de sus recursos naturales.
La directora americana de Peace Boat US, Emilie McGlone, liderará el tur por Chile, llevando el mensaje del “2020 PATAGONICA VISION TOUR” en homenaje al movimiento socio-politico que enfrenta el pais hoy en dia. El tur tambien es un simbolo de paz y amistad con los artistas de la vanguardia de Sud America durante un momento de revolucion y cambio en Chile. El tour PATAGONICA fue fundado por Parties4Peace el año 2008 y cada año organiza un tour anual por Chile para difundir su trabajo con el Barco de la Paz (Peace Boat) y CODEFF (Comité Nacional pro Defensa de la Fauna y Flora) con el fin de declarar la Patagonia Patrimonio de la Humanidad bajo la UNESCO. This weekend we are bringing together the New York City music community to support those affected by the recent fires in Australia. Across the country, nearly 18 million acres of land have been burned -- much of it bushland, forests and national parks, home to the country's beloved and unique wildlife. Nearly half a billion animals have been impacted by the fires in New South Wales alone, according to ecologists at the University of Sydney.
We can all help make a positive difference through music and art! There will be a stellar lineup of local DJs providing the soundtrack for the evening. Everyone is welcome!

Peace Boat, an international organization working to promote peace and sustainability around the world, will showcase Ecoship, the world's greenest cruise ship, followed by a short documentary about the Ocean and Climate Youth Ambassadors Programme, which invites young leaders from small island states on the front line of climate change and ocean degradation to join Peace Boat’s Global Voyages.
Launched in 2017, at the UN Ocean Conference and an endorsed event of the Fijian Presidency of COP23, the programme brings together young leaders from the Pacific, Indian Ocean and the Caribbean to travel onboard Peace Boat’s ship through Europe and to the United Nations in New York engaging with government and civil society representatives. Each edition of the programme has produced accompanying films. The latest edition of the programme ended in New York on World Ocean’s Day with events organized in collaboration with UN partners.
The event will focus on the role of youth in connecting oceans and climate, especially young leaders from small island states. The film screening will also include a Q&A and discussion.

Nature’s Climate Hub is a collaborative venture organised by a coalition of 20 partners. The Hub will be home to a series of lively ‘big idea’ talks showcasing the best of nature-based solutions; interactive sessions tackling the challenges we face – and opportunities to meet the experts; commitments from governments and companies and communities; sessions involving art, storytelling, film and music.
Ocean, Freshwater and Marine Ecosystem Hub on Tuesday 24th September will bring together sessions on the critical role of ocean and freshwater ecosystems as both sink and salve, the role of blue carbon, finance, marine natural climate solutions, community and corporate innovation as well as discussion on aquaculture and marine life at risk.
The summit will include governments, the private sector, civil society, local authorities and other international organizations who are working to develop ambitious solutions in a total of six areas: a global transition to renewable energy; sustainable and resilient infrastructures and cities; sustainable agriculture and management of forests and the ocean; resilience and adaptation to climate impacts; and alignment of public and private finance with a net zero economy.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres is calling on leaders to come to New York with concrete, realistic plans to enhance their nationally determined contributions by 2020, in line with reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 45 per cent over the next decade, and to net zero emissions by 2050.

Inspired by the testimonies he heard on the Peace Boat from the last remaining survivors of the nuclear bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky has created Peace Symphony: 8 Stories. The idea behind this work came from Miller’s personal interaction with eight Hibakusha (被爆者 Atomic bomb survivors) on Peace Boat’s 83rd Global Voyage (Peace Boat is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization that works to promote peace, human rights, equal and sustainable development and respect for the environment) where Miller served as a guest educator and artist-in-residence.
Hibakusha’s stories highlight the humanitarian consequences of these weapons of mass destruction, educate youth, and help to bring about a nuclear free world. Miller has sampled the words and stories of Hibakusha to create electronic and acoustic musical portraits that resonate with some of the deepest issues facing modern society.

SXM Festival will be selecting two ambassadors from Saint Martin to travel on 100th Voyage through Patagonia.
Do you have a strong interest in sustainability and community development in Saint Martin?
Set sail this February with a select group of 18 to 30 year-olds. Learn about the UN SDGs in an experiential study program “Peace Education and the SDGs in South America. As the Saint Martin Ambassador, you will share your experience in sustainability, community development, environmental awareness and the resilience of this beautiful island.
